When your network outage is over, your POS and other Vista services will automatically update and revert to online mode. However, as outages might have affected some of your front-of-house processes, we recommend going through our recovery checklist.
Item | Details | Action |
Ensure POS operators are working online. |
POS operators who selected the Work offline button won’t automatically be reconnected to the network. |
Instruct POS operators to return online when prompted by their workstation, or ask them to deselect the Work offline button. |
Monitor seating allocation for affected sessions. | Tickets sold at POS during the outage won’t have allocated seats. | Continue with unallocated seating, or an usher to resolve seating conflicts, until all affected sessions have passed. |
Check that offline transactions have automatically updated. |
POS offline transactions should update automatically. In the unlikely event that a transaction doesn't update, IT staff can check for files on individual POS machines here: C:\Vista\VistaPOS\Offline\UnprocessedOrders |
In the unlikely event that offline transactions at POS don’t automatically update on reconnection, then you can manually process these at a POS workstation by selecting More > Offline Orders. |
