Units of measure define how various items are stocked.
Examples: Each, Boxes, Bottles
Every concession item requires three units of measure:
- Base unit. This is how the item is tracked in the system. Typically, this is the smallest unit of measure. For example, millilitres for Coke syrup.
- Selling unit. This is the unit the item is sold in. For example, Each for candy bars.
- Default order unit. This is the unit the item is ordered from the vendor in. For example, Boxes for candy bars.
If the unit values you need are not already configured, set them up in Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Units of Measure. You can configure up to four additional levels of stock unit.
Assign units of measure to items in the Stock Details and Stock Replenishment tabs in Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Bulk Items.
