In Loyalty Manager, to create a more secure system, you can configure Loyalty cards to use non-sequential numbers.
Non-sequential card numbers are made up of the following:
- 4 digit prefix
- 7 digit serial number
- 3 digit random number suffix
Note: These are not truly random numbers. They are unique, non-repeating numbers that use a randomised suffix to prevent system abusers from guessing numbers.
To enable the use of non-sequential card numbers, set the system setting UseRandomCardNumbers to Yes.
Note: When this setting is enabled, all card numbers will be exactly 14 digits, and the CardNumberLength setting will be ignored.
