The advance booking period determines how far in advance tickets may purchased by the general public prior to a film's opening date. An advance booking rule may be configured to allow extra time for Loyalty members to purchase tickets. This extra time can be accessed with a recognition.
For example: Interstellar opens on 5 April 2015. An advance booking period of 4 days is set for the film. This allows the general public to start buying tickets from 1 April 2015. By configuring a recognition, eligible Loyalty members are given an extra 2 days. These Loyalty members can start buying tickets from 30 March 2015.
Steps
- Create a new recognition. See Setting up a recognition for details.
- Set the Type to Advance Booking.
- Specify the Additional Advance Booking Time.
Note: A limit on this additional time can be enforced by the advance booking rule configured in Head Office, or Cinema Manager. See Advance booking rule limitations on recognitions for details.
- Select Unlimited Redemptions.
The recommended configuration is to allow an unlimited number of redemptions in general, with a limited number allowed per visit.
- Set the Limit Per Visit as required.
- Save.
