Models allow you to use multiple rules to define a particular set of members in your loyalty program, which you can then target with recognitions, communications, or campaigns. (A rule is a collection of criteria that the system uses to identify Loyalty members and include them in a group. A model is a collection of two or more rules that work together to define a group.)
For example, you might use a model to identify a group of members who meet one set of criteria or another, separate set of criteria, such as members with either a birthday or a loyalty program joining anniversary date in a particular month.
You can also use a model to identify a group of members who meet both of two or more sets of criteria, such as members with a birthday in a particular month who have also purchased tickets within the last two weeks. Using a model can help you avoid creating overly complex rules with multiple criteria.
To build a model:
- In Loyalty Admin, go to Campaigns > Models.
- Click Add New Record.
- In the Name field, enter a name for your model.
- In the Logical Operator field, select AND or OR.
Note: When you select AND, a member must meet all of the criterial of all of the rules you select to be included in the group that uses this model. When you select OR, a member must meet all of the criteria of at least one of the rules you select to be included in the group that uses this model.
- Select the check box for each rule that you want to include in the model.
