Encourage more patrons to join your Loyalty club by creating discounts for members who have received a particular recognition.
If the recognition has unlimited redemptions, customers can redeem it for eligible tickets on these channels:
- POS
- Mobile (requires Connect 5.0.9 or higher)
If the recognition has limited redemptions, customers can redeem it for eligible tickets on these channels:
- POS
If the recognition doesn’t have a points cost, customers can redeem it for eligible items on these channels:
- POS
- Kiosk
- Mobile (requires Connect 5.0.9 or higher)
- Vista Web
If the recognition has a points cost, customers can redeem it for eligible items on these channels:
- POS
- Vista Web
Before you begin
In Loyalty, create the recognition that you want to use with a discount.
Steps
1. Find the code of the item for your Loyalty recognition
- In Loyalty Administrator, open the recognition that you want to use with a discount.
- Note that recognition's Item.
- Open the item, and note its Code.
2. Assign the item to a discount
- In Head Office or Cinema Manager go to Maintenance > Promotions and discounts.
- Create a new promotion or open an existing one.
- Select Discount as the Type.
- Select Loyalty Recognition as the Exclusive to.
- Under Code, enter the code of the item you noted in step 4.
- Set up the rest of the discount as required.
Tip: Use the Items and Tickets tab to select the items and tickets that will be discounted, and the value they'll be discounted by.
- Save.
- If you're using Head Office, link the discount to a cinema or cinemas.
