By displaying a different part of a takeover on each sign, you can make clusters become video or image walls during takeovers. You can do this either in the Admin website or by using video editing software, depending on whether your signs are connected to the same client, or to different clients. Complete the relevant procedure below depending on your sign configuration.
Before you begin
Ensure that the following has been set up:
- A layout containing more than one sign.
- A cluster that fits your chosen layout.
- An advertising profile in Head Office containing your media.
Signs that are connected to the same client
If your signs are connected to the same client you can create a takeover across multiple signs using the Admin website.
- Create or edit a takeover.
- Click Add media.
- Select an advertising profile.
- Select a layout that contains more than one sign.
- Select a media file.
- Click Fit media across layout.
Note: The preview shows your selected media displayed over all signs in the layout. If the media doesn't fit the signs perfectly, it will be displayed in an optimal central position.
- Save the media to add it to your takeover.
- Save your takeover.
Signs that are connected to different clients
If your signs are connected to different clients, you'll need to use video editing software to split different sections of the video and store them in separate files, then add them all to one advertising profile. When creating your takeover in the Admin website, you can select each file manually to display on a different sign.
For example, if you're planning to make a video wall using three landscape signs, edit the video into three separate files: one to appear on each sign.
- Use video editing software to edit your media file as required.
- Ensure that the advertising profile in Head Office containing your media includes all the files you created using your editing software.
- Open or create your takeover in the Admin website.
- Click Add media.
- Select the advertising profile containing your media.
- Select the layout used by the cluster (or clusters) you want to turn into a video wall.
- Add each media file to the position representing its section of the video wall.
- Save your takeover.
