This panel appears when the selected session(s) in the Showtime Manager grid are part of a marathon.
Option | Allowed values | Decription |
Selected Sessions are a Marathon |
Cleared Selected |
If the checkbox is selected, the session is part of a marathon. Settings are displayed below to configure how box office revenue is split between marathon sessions. If the checkbox is cleared, it is a standalone session. |
Marathon Film |
Any configured Film |
Determines which film record is used to advertise the marathon as a whole. Marathons appear on POS as a single session, not as individual sessions. By default, the whole group is marketed as the first film. For example, in a marathon to celebrate the release of The Hobbit 3, you may wish to market the whole group as The Hobbit 3 (the last film in the marathon). In a marathon of classic movies (Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, Casablanca), you may wish to create a specific film record such as Classic Movie Night. |
Print Tickets For Each Session |
Cleared Selected |
Determines whether a single ticket is printed for the marathon, or individual tickets for each film. |
Session |
N/A |
The sessions that have been included in the Marathon. |
Box Office Relative Split |
Any number |
Determines what proportion of the marathon's box office revenue is allocated to each component film. The numbers configured for each film form a ratio. |
Box Office % Split |
N/A |
This read-only column automatically calculates the Box Office Split as a percentage. For example, a Marathon celebrating the release of The Hobbit 3 may split revenue as follows: The Hobbit 1: 1.00 (10%) The Hobbit 2: 1.00 (10%) The Hobbit 3: 8.00 (80%) |
