View and update the properties of any session by selecting the session in the planning grid and double-clicking. The Session properties panel opens where you can update properties such as Price card, Status, and Seat allocation. You can also open the panel from the tool bar on the right.
If you haven't set all the required session properties, the session won't save and you'll need to resolve any errors.
You may not be able to change some properties if they have been restricted to prevent cinema managers making changes without approval from the film programmer.
Tip: To update sessions in bulk, simply click and hold down the mouse to create a box which encompasses all sessions you'd like to change. Alternatively, hold down CTRL and select the individual sessions you want to update.
Note: When editing a group of sessions simultaneously, all fields on the Session Properties form will be empty, but any changes made will apply to all selected sessions.
Option | Description |
Film |
The name of the film planned for this session. Note: You may not have permission to alter this field, based on session properties restrictions for your user group. |
Price card |
The price card used for the session, determining which tickets are available and for what price. Note: The price cards available to a session depend on properties configured against each price card (for example, effective date, valid times, and cinema) |
Film Format |
The film format associated with the session, selected from the formats configured against the film record. Note: The film formats available to a session depend on the format attributes associated with the screen in which the film is playing. Note: You may not have permission to alter this field, based on session properties restrictions for your user group. |
Status |
The status of the session:
|
Audio Language | The language in which the session's audio is played. If no language options are available or selected, the audio language defaults to your site's primary language. If no primary language is set in Site maintenance, the audio language defaults to the film record's original audio language. |
Subtitles |
The language in which subtitles are played. If the session's audio language is different to your site's primary language, the subtitle language defaults to your site's primary language. If you don't want to show subtitles in the session, leave this field blank. |
Event | The Event that the session is associated with. |
Print Number |
The ID number of the film print used for the session. Note: You may not have permission to alter this field, based on application rights settings against your user group. |
Screen Layout |
The screen layout for the session. Note: Changing the screen layout of an open session may require reallocating seats. |
Seat Allocation |
Determines the type of seating used for the session:
|
Session Type |
The type of session playing, as configured in the session type record. For example, Gold Class. Note: You may not have permission to alter this field, based on application rights settings against your user group. |
Sneak Preview |
Determines whether the session is a sneak preview. That is, the film used to create the session is reported as playing, but the film that actually plays is different (set in the Played Film field). The session duration that you see on the canvas is the Played Film's duration, not the sneak preview film's duration. Note: You may not have permission to alter this field, based on application rights settings against your user group. |
Played Film |
If the session is a sneak preview, this is the film that is actually played. However, the film you used to create the session is reported and assigned the box-office revenue. Note: The film title, censor rating, and duration that you see on the session are sourced from the played film. You'll need to manually make sure that all other properties are appropriate for the session (for example, make sure that the screen supports the format of the played film, and that the price card is appropriate). |
Session Timing |
The start time of the session, duration of any trailers and intervals, and cleanup time. The full Session Duration is calculated based on these. See Working with session times for more information. Note: You may not have permission to alter the Session Start field, based on session properties restrictions for your user group. If this field is restricted, you will also not be able to drag and drop the session to another time in the main screen. |
Screen |
The screen playing the film is determined by Showtime Manager and can be changed by dragging and dropping the session. See Working with session times for more information. Note: You may not have permission to alter the screen, based on session properties restrictions for your user group. |
