Marathons appear on the Tickets screen of POS as a single sesson. The session duration equals the sum of the lengths of the included films and set break times (for example, 7.05pm – 2.39am).
By default, only the first film in the group is listed (for example, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”).
Note: When scheduling, it’s possible to use the Marathon film field in Showtime Manager to select which component film record is used for marketing the marathon.
Important: The Attributes and Movie Format displayed on POS and digitial signage are taken only from the first list film in the marathon. For example, if The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is configured as 2D, but The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies are configured as 3D, POS will only show that the marathon is 2D.
Steps
- Open the Tickets screen.
- To view the component sessions, tap the marathon.
- On the Alternative Tickets screen, tap the arrow next to the marathon to view all the component films and times.
- Tap the name of an individual film in the dropdown list to view details of that component film.
