Customer Monitor is Touch-Enabled |
cleared selected |
If the checkbox is selected, the Customer Monitor will be configured as a touch screen. For example: Screens that allow patron interaction, such as selecting seats. On customer-facing monitors that are touch-enabled, seat graphics obey a minimum size (so that a single seat can be selected by the touch of a finger) and a scrolling mechanism is used if the seat plan does not fit on the screen. The system settings MinSeatSize and MaxSeatSize in the POS-SEAT ALLOCATION category determine the minimum and maximum sizes of a seat graphic on any touch-enabled monitor. Vista recommends that the minimum seat size is set to 30 or larger. A smaller number may make it difficult for operators or patrons to accurately select seats by touch. If the checkbox is cleared, the Customer Monitor will be configured as solely for display purposes. For example: Displaying the current contents of the order, or showing advertising. On customer-facing monitors that are not touch-enabled, POS displays the entire seating map, scaling the seating map down to fit the size of the screen if necessary. |
