Ticket fees are used to configure a portion of a ticket's price that is excluded from rental agreements, and not included in film hire calculations. Some organisations then share a portion of the ticket fee amount with the distributor.
Ticket fee distribution terms can be used to configure how a ticket fee is shared between the cinema and the distributor.
Configured ticket fee distribution terms are listed in the Ticket fee distribution terms form in Head Office maintenance.
Ticket fee sharing
When a ticket is sold to a session of a Film with the configured Contract, the revenue from any Ticket Fees is shared based on the contract's Distribution Terms.
Ticket fees can be distributed in the following ways:
- Shared as per film hire contract - the Distributor receives the same proportion of the Ticket Fee as they do of the normal ticket price, as defined by the Film Hire Contract.
- Fixed deduction - the Distributor receives a specified fixed amount of the Ticket Fee per ticket.
- Fixed deduction and balance shared as per film hire contract - a fixed amount is deducted and kept by the cinema. From the remaining balance, the Distributor received receives? the same proportion as they do of the normal ticket price, as defined by the Film Hire Contract.
- Different percentage to film hire contract - the Distributor receives a specified percentage of the Ticket Fee.
