You can control whether it's possible to export film hire values (accruals) multiple times, and if so, how they're recorded in the Daily Posting Journal.
- Go to Head Office > Maintenance > System Settings.
- Edit the setting MultipleAccrualPostingAction to the required value. See below for details.
MultipleAccrualPostingAction
This setting determines the behaviour of the Daily Posting Journal when a film hire accrual is posted multiple times.
| Value | Description |
| Separate Postings | The previous accrual post is unaffected, and the new accrual is posted in full. |
| Incremental Postings | The previous accrual post is unaffected, and the new post is the difference between the previous and new accrual amounts. |
| Reverse Previous and Repost | The previous accrual post is reversed, and the new accrual is posted in full. |
| Prevent Multiple Postings | Film hire accrual can only be posted once. |
Example
As an accountant in charge of film hire, Wendy wants film hire accruals to be posted incrementally. She sets MultipleAccrualPostingAction to Incremental Postings.
- The week's film hire accrual for Kingsman 2 is $320. This gets posted to the Daily Posting Journal.
- Later, the film hire accrual amount is revised to $400. A new posting is added to the Daily Posting Journal for the difference only ($80).
