You can configure Promotion/Discount records with different Types (Standard, Discount, Deal, Comp). Each type has different compatible discounting methods.

| Variable price off | Discount an item or ticket by a variable price, which can be selected by the POS operator. |

| Variable percentage off | Discount an item or ticket by a variable percentage, which can be selected by the POS operator. |
