The methods below can help you work with film hire payments in Vista. Go to Head Office > Maintenance > Film Hire Payment to use the form.
Recalculating film hire records
If you adjust session performance records included in a film hire calculation, the relevant film hire records will be marked as Recalculation Required. The following changes will cause this:
- Session format
- Session attributes
- Revenue date
- Session type
- TPA values (for example, ticket fee sharing)
- Additional box office revenue
When a film hire record is marked as Recalculation Required and is included in an invoice export, you'll be notified before the export is completed. You can then choose to either export anyway, cancel the export, or click Calculate Film Hire prior to the export.
Freezing Film Hire Payment module
You can use the Freeze Panes option to lock columns on the left-hand side - allowing you to scroll to the right whilst retaining key data on the screen.
Displaying associated sessions
To view the sessions associated with film hire records, right-click on the record and select Display Associated Sessions.
Note: For records calculated from estimated values due to future session matching; the historic sessions and matching configuration are displayed.
Creating multiple film hire records from a film hire contract
You can set a film hire contract to create separate film hire records by cinema operator and format (for example, 2D, 3D, IMAX).
- Go to Head Office > Maintenance > Cinema Film Hire Contracts.
- On the Details tab, select Split by format.
Film hire calculations generate separate film hire records by cinema operator, format, and week.
