Use the Media Library to create and manage Media Sets, as well as setting up links to Concessions and Films.

When a Concession Item is assigned to a button, it may automatically display an image on the button. This means that the concession assigned to the button has a Media Set linked to it. By default the image for the assigned media set will display on the button. This can be changed or removed.

Note: Animated GIF files are not supported.

The concession link to a media set can also be changed and all buttons or individually selected buttons can be refreshed to display the new media set.

Checking the type of image link

When working with media set links, the type of link used for the image assigned to the button can be viewed by right clicking the button and selecting Properties. The Properties form can also be used to view other details such as concession information and button layout details.

There are two types of media set links:

• Direct: The media set is manually assigned to the button.
• Linked via Concession: The media set is automatically displayed to the button using a link to the concession item assigned to the button.

The Properties form also displays other media set details including the number of images and the size of the image.

Changing the button image from the linked concession media set to a new media set

The image displayed on a button can be changed by assigning a new Media Set. This will not alter the media set link to the concession, it will only change the media set displayed on the button.

To change the media set displayed, simply assign a different media set to the button by right-clicking and selecting Assign Media Set. Then select a new media set to use.

To change back to the linked media set, right-click the button and select Use Linked Media Set.

Removing the linked concession media set from display (keeping the link)

It is possible to stop the Linked Concession Media Set from displaying on the button by setting the Image Alignment to None.

The media set will still be linked to the concession and it will still be available to display by changing the Image Alignment back to one with an image, this will re-display the linked media set.

Updating a concession link with a new media set

The Linked Concession Media Set can be altered and the affected buttons can all be updated or selected buttons can be selected individually and updated.

The Media Set linked to the concession can be changed using the Media Library.

Changing a Media Set Concession Link

A new media set can be linked to the concession, this will delete the existing link and add the new link.

To change a media set concession link:

1. Open the Media Library by clicking the Media Library button.
2. Search for the new media set that the concession will be linked to (the media set to change to).
3. Click the Edit button.
4. Click the Links tab.
5. Click the Add Item Link button.
6. Search for the concession that requires the media set link change.
7. Select the required concession and click the OK button. A message will appear warning that the concession is already linked to another media set. Click the Yes button to change the link to use the new media set.
   

   Note: This will remove the link to the previously used media set.

8. Click the Save and Close button and close the Media Library.

Refreshing Linked Media Sets

It is possible to refresh all linked media sets displayed on the buttons or to refresh selected buttons.

To refresh all buttons with concession links to media sets, click the Refresh Linked Media Sets button on the Links ribbon tab in the POS Designer application. This will update all the buttons with concessions to display the latest media set linked images on the buttons.

To refresh selected buttons that have concession links to media sets, select the required button or buttons (press CTRL and click the buttons), right-click and select Refresh Linked Media Set/s.
