Exhibitors may be required to pay a per screen levy to their national film board or similar body for each film they show. This per screen amount is calculated and deducted before film hire is calculated (pre-calculation deductions).
You can view the per-screen deductions separately from other film hire calculations in Head Office > Maintenance > Screen Deduction Invoices.
Steps
To set up screen deductions, you need to configure the relevant screens and films.
- Go to Head Office > Maintenance > Screens.
- Open the required screen record.
- Go to the Film Hire tab to create your pre-calculation deductions.
- Select the Effective From date.
- Select the required GL Account to allocate it to this screen.
- Enter the deduction Percentage and Code.
- Go to Head Office > Maintenance > Films.
- Open the required film record.
- In the Film Hire tab, select Include on Film Hire Deductions at Screen Level from the dropdown menu.
