Excluding Items from the Master/Expeditor Kitchen Screen

If your kitchen setup uses an Expeditor, or Master Kitchen Screen, you may wish to exclude certain items from being displayed to that operator.

For example: The operator running the kitchen wants to see items from all Prepare Areas in the kitchen, but not items from the Bar area because they are not relevant.

Item Classes can be configured so that their Items are either displayed or hidden from the Master Kitchen Screen.

1. Open the Item Class cabinet: Concessions > Concession Maintenance > Item Classes.
2. Open the Item Class whose Items you wish to hide from the Master Kitchen Screen. For example: Bar Food.
3. Clear the Visible to Expeditor checkbox.
4. Save the Item Class.
5. Alternatively: create a new Item Class, clear the Visible to Expeditor checkbox, and assign it to the Items you wish to hide.
