The Kitchen screen displays orders to be prepared in a food and beverage environment. Kitchen staff can view the orders on the screen and perform various actions such as: change the priority, split the order, or change the order's status. Optionally, order slips can be printed to be placed at various kitchen workstations.
The Kitchen screen has two views: Detailed and Simple.
Simple view
In Simple view, orders are displayed on tiles. Buttons are available to set preparation stage, recall, and cancel orders. The Simple view supports a fixed tile mode and a dynamic mode.
The Simple view by default appears as fixed tile mode. When the order exceeds tile length, scroll buttons can be used to navigate through the order. Icon next to the items in the order depicts their preparation stage.
To view the screen in Dynamic mode, check the option Dynamically Display Orders in Simple View in Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Workstations > Service tab. In Dynamic mode, order tiles are flexible (minimum 3 lines to a multi-lane order tile). The screen is divided into the Start lane and the Processing lane. The lanes splitter can be moved left or right to expand the Start or Processing lane. The header of order tile displays the order number, initial of the server and changes colour to indicate the timer delay.
View More and View Less customises number of orders appearing on the screen. Order modifiers and special instructions (such as gluten free or allergy warnings) are shown in both modes.
Detailed View
In the Detailed view, orders requiring preparation are displayed in a list along with the ingredients required to make them. Settings, Normal, Show orders for Kitchen and other buttons perform specific actions on the orders.
Tip: You can also use the Bump Bar to control the functions on the Kitchen screen.
