The Kitchen screen displays orders to be prepared in a food and beverage environment. Kitchen staff can view the orders on the screen and perform various actions, such as changing the priority, splitting an order, or changing an order's status. Optionally, kitchen staff can print order slips to be placed at various kitchen workstations.
On the kitchen screen, order tiles are flexible. You can divide the screen into a Start lane and a Processing lane, and expand the lanes. For the lane separator to be visible, select Show Lane Separator on the Service Area tab of the relevant workstation in Cinema Manager.
Order modifiers and special instructions (such as allergy warnings) are shown in both the View More and View Less modes.
The order tile header displays the order number, time taken, full name of the wait staff, and origin of the order. The order tile header also changes colour to indicate delays in the time taken to process an order. You can set the time delay in the Delayed Service Warning settings under the Service Area tab for the relevant workstation in Cinema Manager.
Example: If Delayed Service Warning 1 and Delayed Service Warning 2 are set to 10 and 15 minutes respectively, the color of the order header will change to orange after 10 minutes and red after 15 minutes from the time an order is placed on the screen.
The Set Delivery button launches a screen to manage the delivery of orders, including setting the time and priority, and adding comments on orders.
The Settings button launches a panel that provides controls for kitchen screen functions. This panel also displays information of Service Areas configured for the Kitchen screen, any redirects set up between these areas, and any redirects to areas not configured on the screen.
Note: You can also use a bump bar to control functions on the Kitchen screen.
