Using discounts to clear overstocked modifiers

Sometimes, you'll have too much stock of a particular modifier, such as one of your drink flavours. You can sell this stock faster by providing a discount for customers who select that modifier on particular items.

1. In Head Office or Cinema Manager, go to Maintenance > Promotions and discounts.
2. Create a promotion.
3. Change the Type to Discount.
4. Under Discount options, select a trigger.
5. Select Qualifying modifier required.
6. Select the Modifier items patrons are required to purchase to receive this discount.
7. On the Items tab, select the items this discount will apply to.
   
   When customers purchase these items and modify them with one of the modifiers you selected in step 5, the items will receive this discount.
   
   
8. Enter the promotion's remaining details as required.
9. Save.
