Cross-site Sales allows POS operators to sell tickets for sessions at nearby sites, as well as their own cinema.
With Cross-site Sales, your patrons can easily purchase tickets for sessions at another of your circuit's nearby cinemas if your own sessions have sold out or if you are not showing a particular film or format at your cinema.
For patrons who like to make ticket purchases in advance, Cross-site Sales provides the freedom to buy tickets at one location and see the film at another.
Making a cross-site sale
Cross-site sales are treated like paid bookings in POS. When you view sessions for a site other than your own, the POS order window opens in booking mode. When you complete a sale, you are prompted to enter booking details for the customer.
The booking for a cross-site sale is considered to be collected after tickets have printed, so if you search for a Cross-site Sales booking at the destination site, it will only appear in the results when Display All Bookings is selected.
Unsupported sales functions
Cross-site Sales currently only supports selling tickets, and all tickets in an order must be for sessions at the same site.
The following features and functions cannot be used in conjunction with Cross-site Sales:
- Third-party membership tickets.
- Ticket vouchers, or any other ticket type that is tracked by a payment group.
- Package tickets.
- Marathons.
- Ticket fees.
- Booking fees.
- Loyalty discounts.
- Deals.
- Standard promotions.
- Rules of type Ticket Purchase.
