You can set up your items so POS sells them at different tax codes based on whether they're dine-in or takeaway. This is ideal for territories where this is a legal requirement.
Configure your system settings
- In Cinema Manager, go to System Settings.
- Configure the setting TakeawayButtonDefault to your site's preference.
Note: If the value for this setting is Selected but the Takeaway button isn't visible at POS, POS will sell all your items as dine-in.
Set up your POS buttons
- Go to POS Button Layouts.
- Select a profile.
- Select Main as the Button Group.
- Find the Takeaway button, and select Visible.
- Select Payment as the Button Group.
- Find the Takeaway button, and select Visible.
Set up your takeaway items
- Go to Items or Bulk Items.
- Select or create an item.
- Select Takeaway Overrides.
- Choose a Takeaway Tax Code.
Note: If the item is a package, you'll need to select a takeaway tax code for each of its items.
- Repeat steps 2–4 as many times as required.
Note: You can sell items as takeaway if they don't have a takeaway tax code. POS will sell them using their dine-in tax code.
