If you use a large number of ticket types, it can be helpful to see them organized into ticket classes and sub-classes so you can keep track of the records you've created and better understand how the system is collecting the information you see in your reports. For example, you can organize your records to see the following heirarchy:
- Ticket class: General Admission
- Ticket sub-class: Adult
- Ticket types: Adult Evening, Adult Gold Class, Adult IMAX
- Ticket sub-class: Adult
To organise your ticket types and classes:
- Turn on the Ticket Hierarchy Manager.
- Go to Head Office Manager or Cinema Manager > Maintenance > System Settings.
- Set the EnableTicketClassHierarchy setting to Yes.
- Go to Head Office Manager or Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Ticket Hierarchy Manager.
- Click Add to add a new class or sub-class to the hierarchy, or click Edit to edit any existing class or sub-class.
- Click Add > Create New Ticket Type, Edit, Delete, or Import > Add Existing Ticket Type to adjust the ticket types you're organising, and then drag ticket types from the right to the classes on the left to build your ticket hierarchies.
Tip: You can review a ticket type's class in the Ticket Type Maintenance form.
