Create a Media Set to group together similar images of different sizes. When the media set is applied to a button, POS Designer automatically selects the image with the dimensions that best fit the environment.
Before you begin
- Make sure the required images are on your computer's hard drive. For example: A media set called Coke may include 3 coke bottle images of different sizes.
Creating a media set
- Open the Media Library (Head Office or Cinema Manager > Maintenance).
- Click the New button to open Media Set maintenance.
- Configure the Name and Description of the media set.
- Click the Add Image button.
- Locate the desired images on the computer's hard drive, and add them to the media set.
- Click the Save button.
The Media Set has now been created, and you can apply it to buttons in POS Designer, or link it to Films or Concession Items. To remove images from the media set, select the unwanted images in media set maintenance and click the Remove button.
Editing a media set
- Open the Media Library (Head Office or Cinema Manager > Maintenance).
- Locate the Media Set that requires editing by using the search criteria.
- Select the required media set from the search results.
- Click the Edit button to open Media Set maintenance.
- Click the Add Image button to add new images to the media set, alternatively, select the unwanted images and click the Remove Image button to remove them from the media set.
- On the Links tab, add or remove Concession/Film Links as required.
- Click the Save button once all desired changes are completed.
You can modify the Name and Description of the media set if necessary. In order to delete the entire media set, all Links must first be removed. Click the Delete button to delete the media set.
Link the media set to films or items
- Click the Links tab in Media Set maintenance.
- Click the Add Item Link or Add Film Link.
- Use the search windows to locate the desired item(s) and/or film(s) and link them to the media set.
- Click the Save button.
The selected Films and Items are linked to the Media Set. When a button assigned with one of the selected items is created in POS Designer, the most appropriate image from the media set will automatically be displayed on the button. The selected films can be configured to display images from the media set on POS, Kiosk, and your website. To remove any films/items linked to the media set, select the unwanted films/items and click the Remove Link button.
Note: A media set can be linked to multiple films and items, but each film and item can only have one media set associated with it. When attempting to link a film/item which is already linked to a media set, a warning prompt will display to confirm changing the media set associated with the film/item.
