POS can accept payments in the foreign currency. This is particularly useful in locations near national borders, where multiple currencies may be accepted.
Before you begin
Steps
- Take the order and tap the payment screen button.
- Tap the payment type button that corresponds to the currency that the customer wants to pay with.
Note: You can't tap a foreign currency payment type button unless the order has an outstanding balance. In other words, you can't accept foreign currency without a purchase.
- Enter the amount of foreign currency received.
The amount of foreign currency required to pay off the order is displayed in the lower part of the window.
Note: Your organisation may have set a limit on the maximum value that can be accepted in a foreign currency transaction.
- Tap Enter.
A payment line shows the payment's value in the foreign currency (at the left) and local currency (at the right).
- Give the customer the change displayed (in local currency).
- Tap Complete.
