You might have a situation where two or more tickets always have the same price.
For example: Child and Senior Citizen.
It is possible to configure the price of a ticket type to refer to the price of another existing ticket type. This can help in implementing pricing changes by reducing the risk of accidentally forgetting to update one of the ticket types.
This can also be useful for redemption tickets such as Adult Voucher, which will typically have the same price as their generic Adult counterpart.
Note: Referenced ticket prices can only be configured on Standalone and Base Price Cards. Derived Price Cards will inherit any referenced ticket price relationships from their Base.
- Open the required Price Card:
- Expand the Base Price Card.
- Select the required Price From Ticket.
For example: For Senior Citizen, select Child as the Price From Ticket.
- Repeat step 4 for any other Ticket Types.
- Save the price card.
When editing the price card in future, the Price field for the Senior Citizen ticket type will be read-only and cannot be directly edited. When the Price of the Child ticket type is modified, the new value will be automatically copied to the Price of Senior Citizen.
Creating a Future Version of a price card maintains any Price From Ticket relationships.
