Show Inactive Price Cards

Click to display price cards that have passed their Effective Until date.

Tickets Filter

Select an option to determine which tickets are displayed in the table.

All - every active ticket type in the database will be listed in all price cards. Use this option to add new tickets to price cards.

Included - only included tickets will be listed in each price card. Use this option for editing prices and other data.

All from Base - Derived Price Cards will list all the tickets included in the Base Price Card, even ones that aren't included in the Derived Price Card.

Ticket Class Filter

Select a Ticket Class to only display ticket types in the table that belong to the selected class.

Versions

Past, current, and future versions of the Price Card (Group) are displayed above the table.

Add New Ticket Type

This will open the Ticket Type maintenance form to create a new ticket type.

Move Up

Moves the selected Ticket Type up in the table. This affects the Sequence Number (Seq) of the ticket type in relation to the Price Card.

Move Down

Moves the selected Ticket Type down in the table. This affects the Sequence Number (Seq) of the ticket type in relation to the Price Card.

Price Card Header

The header allows you to expand and collapse Base and Derived Price Cards in a Price Card Group.

The Name of a price card can be edited directly in the header row.

Price Card Adjustments

Any Ticket Price Adjustment configured on the Price Card (Group)'s Price Adjustments tab

In the Adjustment column of the Price Card Header, the Ticket Price Adjustments currently applied to the price card are listed.

Open the dropdown to select a Ticket Price Adjustment to apply to all tickets in the selected price card.

The total value of all adjustments is also displayed.

If this checkbox is selected, the Ticket Type will be included in the Price Card. If it is not, the Ticket Type will not be included.

Seq

The Sequence Number of the Ticket Type. This affects the order in which ticket types are displayed on POS, Kiosk and Vista Web, as well as Reports.

On POS, the first four ticket types will be displayed next to each Film on the main Ticket Purchase Screen.

Description

Ticket Class

Price From Ticket

Any Ticket Type included in the Price Card

The Ticket Type will always have the same Price as the selected Ticket Type.

For example: The Ticket Type Senior Citizen is always the same price as the Child Ticket Type. Child is selected as the Senior Citizen's Price From Ticket; when the Price of Child is edited, the Price of Senior Citizen will be automatically updated to reflect the change. The Price field of Senior Citizen is read only and cannot be edited directly.

Note: This field is only editable on Standalone and Base Price Cards. Derived Price Cards inherit their settings of this field from their Base Price Card.

Price

Any monetary value

The price of the Ticket Type when the Price Card is in use. This does not change the Price as configured on the Ticket Type maintenance form.

Note: This field is only editable on Standalone and Base Price Cards. Derived Price Cards inherit their settings of this field from their Base Price Card.

Surcharge

Any monetary value

The surcharge of the Ticket Type when the Price Card is in use.

Adjustment

Exempt from Adjustments

Any Ticket Type Adjustment configured on the Price Card (Group)'s Price Adjustment tab

The price of the Ticket Type will be adjusted by the Value amount configured for the selected Ticket Price Adjustment(s).

For example: In a Price Card configured specifically for 3D sessions, the generic Ticket Type Adult with a price of $15.00 may be increased by $2.00 to $17.00 by the Ticket Price Adjustment 3D.

When an Adjustment is selected, the new net price of the ticket will by displayed in the Total column.

Note: Ticket Price Adjustments cannot be applied to Package Ticket Types, they must be applied to the individual tickets included on the Package tab.

Select Exempt from Adjustments to exclude the ticket from any adjustments. If this is done of the Base Price Card, the ticket will be excluded from adjustments on all Derived Price Cards.

You can also use the Adjustment cell in the Price Card Headers to apply adjustments to all ticket types included in the price card.

Total

The net price of the Ticket Type, calculated as the gross Price plus or minus the Value of any selected Adjustment.

Note: This read-only field is automatically calculated and cannot be edited.

Effective From/Until

This can be used to introduce new ticket types to or remove current ticket types from the price card in the future without creating an entire new version.

Short Name

A price card's short name is displayed in Showtime Manager when it's in price-card view. If no short name is entered, the first 10 characters of the price card's name will be displayed instead.

Effective From

The date that the Price Card will come into effect.

If the price card is a Future Version, this is the date that it will become the Current Version.

Note: This field is only editable on Standalone and Base Price Cards. Derived Price Cards inherit their settings of this field from their Base Price Card.

Effective Until

If the checkbox is selected, an Effective Until can be set. This is the date that the Price Card will stop being used.

If a Future Version is created, the Current Version does not require an effective to date, as it will be automatically taken over on the Effective From date of the future version.

There are three types of Price Card that perform different functions:

Standalone Price Cards are used on their own and have no systematic relationship with other Price Cards.

Base Price Cards are used to determine the Ticket Types and their prices that are available to associated Derived Price Cards.

Derived Price Cards are used to determine what Ticket Types made available by the Base Price Card are available at what times.

If the checkbox is selected, the Price Card will be able to be assigned to sessions in Showtime Manager; if the checkbox is cleared, it will not.

For example: If you have a Base Price Card containing all your valid Ticket Types, and a set of Derived Price Cards determining what Ticket Types are available at what times, you may never actually wish to use the Base Price Card on sessions (as it contains ALL your Ticket Types). Clear this checkbox to prevent it accidentally being assigned to sessions.

Note: This field is not available if the Price Card's Type is Derived. Derived Price Cards are always available for sessions.

Base Price Card

Derived Price Cards have a Base Price Card which determines the price of the Ticket Types available to the Derived Price Card.

Create a Price Card with the Type Base and assign it to a Derived Price Card, or to a Standalone Price Card which will then have its Type changed to Derived.

Alternatively, you can assign an existing Standalone Price Card to a Derived Price Card, or to a Standalone Price Card. The Standalone Price Card assigned as the Base Price Card will have its Type changed to Base.

Cinema

The Cinema where this Price Card will be used.

An Active Price Card is currently in use.

An Inactive price card is not currently in use. This may be because it is still under construction, or because it only applies during a specific time period (i.e. school holidays).

A price card that is saved as To be Deleted will be removed can no longer be used.

Booking Fee

The default Booking Fee that will be associated with this Price Card.

Head Office Code

A code used to extract details to HeadOffice reports.

For example: The 'full price' Price Card may be configured with the same HO Code at each cinema in a circuit, allowing head office to produce consolidated reports concerning that price card at all locations.

Use Base Sequencing for Derived Price Cards

If the checkbox is selected, new Derived price cards added to the Price Card Group will inherit their Ticket Sequencing from the Base price card.

If the checkbox is cleared, sequencing will follow the values configured for tickets in Ticket Type maintenance.

This option is only available for price cards of Type Base or Derived, and is hidden for Standalone price cards.

Delete

Removes the selected Ticket Price Adjustment from the Price Card.

New Definition

Opens the Ticket Price Adjustment maintenance form to create a new record which can be inserted directly into the Price Card.

Apply to Selected Price Card

Select a Price Card Head, the Description of a configured Ticket Price Adjustment, and click this button to apply the adjustment to all ticket types in the selected price card.

Description

Any configured Ticket Price Adjustment

The Ticket Price Adjustment you wish to configure as available for the Price Card.

Value

The amount by which the price of a Ticket Type will be adjusted when the Adjustment is applied in the Price Card.

When a Ticket Price Adjustment is selected, the Value will default to the Default Value as configured in the Ticket Price Adjustment maintenance form. The Value can then be changed.

Note: Changing the Value here applies only to the specific Price Card, and does not alter the Value of the Ticket Price Adjustment as it is configured on any other Price Cards or on the Ticket Price Adjustment maintenance form.

Value (%)

Any percentage, positive or negative

The price of a Ticket Type with the Adjustment applied will be adjusted by the specified percentage.

When an Adjustment is selected, the Value (%) will default to the Default Value as configured in the Ticket Price Adjustment maintenance form. The Value can then be changed.

Note: This option is only available if the selected adjustment is configured with a Value Type of Percentage.

Tickets Per Session (%)

Tickets purchased with the Adjustment can only make up the specified percentage of total seats available for a session.

For example: Tickets with the Super Economy adjustment (60% off) are only available for 8% of a session's total tickets.

Note: This option is only available if the selected adjustment is configured to Enable Dynamic Pricing.

The Valid Times information can be displayed in two ways:

Grid - Displays the information in a grid that can be used to configure the days on which the Price Card is valid. On a given day, a Price Card can either be valid All Day, or between a time range. Edit Mode must be selected in order to edit the grid.

Graph - Displays the information as a graph using colour-coded bars to indicate when the Price Card is valid, based on the information configured in the Grid. The graph is only a display and is not editable.

Day

Any day of the week

Once an entry has been added to the grid with the Add button, the dropbox can be used to select the Day for the Price Card's valid time.

Note: If no days are added to the grid, the price card will always be available (just like if all days are added to the grid, with All Day selected).

All Day

Start Time and End Time must be blank if the checkbox is selected.

This is used when suggesting price cards.

New Release

If the checkbox is selected, the Price Card will be available for auto-allocation for sessions showing Films during the New Release Period.

The New Release Period is configured on the Film maintenance form as a number of days after the Opening Date.

If the checkbox is cleared, the Price Card will not be suggested and cannot be assigned to sessions showing Films in the New Release Period.
