Attributes, which identify particular characteristics that might be shared across a film booking, session, film, movie format, screen, can belong to a particular type:
- Concept attributes represent different marketable cinema experiences, such as Gold Class and IMAX. These attributes appear in Vista Web so patrons can easily find all the sessions for which they can expect the same cinema experience.
- Session attributes correspond to notable session features, such as Mum and Baby. These attributes can be useful for helping ensure that particular films are matched with particular theatres or that particular sessions use the correct sound or lighting levels.
- Audio Language attributes describe the language of the soundtrack, such as French Language or German Language.
- Subtitles Language attributes describe the language of subtitles, such as Spanish (Mexican) Subtitles or Arabic Subtitles.
A single attribute can be assigned multiple types. For example, IMAX and 3D are both marketable cinema experiences, and they are both notable session features.
Some attributes might not have a type at all. For example, 2D is not a marketable experience type or a notable session feature, but it is still an attribute that the system can use to match movie formats with appropriate screens.
