Sites can be configured with a Time Zone specific to their location.
Advance Booking Rules can be configured as relative to either the local time zone, or a specified time zone.
For organisations that operate across multiple time zones, using a specific time zone allows advance sales tickets to go on sale at the same time across the circuit.
For example:
- Star Trek opens on Friday 27th September, and tickets are to go on sale 3 weeks before opening at 6pm local time.
- Man of Steel opens on Friday 30th August, and tickets go on sale at midnight, Eastern Standard Time on Friday 2nd August for all cinemas in your circuit.
We recommend configuring this data in Head Office and downloading it to cinemas as required.
Choosing the Time Zone for a site
- Open a Site record in Maintenance > Sites.
- On the Location Details tab, select the Time Zone required.
- (Head Office only) Repeat steps 1–2 for any other sites required.
