POS Selling Limit system settings – Help Centre

The POS Selling Limit system settings manage the Selling Limit button in POS, including:

the security level needed to use the Selling Limits button
the amount of time that an item is marked 'Sold out'

System Setting	Category	Allowed values	Description
SecurityItemSellingLimit	POS-SECURITY	0–9 99	The security level required to create or change an item's POS selling limit. A value of 99 indicates that the limit may be modified by any user.
SecurityItemAllowSoldOut	POS-SECURITY	0–9 99	The security level required to over-ride a selling limit and sell a 'sold out' item anyway. A value of 99 indicates that the any user may over-ride a selling limit.
ItemSoldOutBecomesAvailable	POS	Specify Each Time Next Day Until Marked as Available	Specify Each Time: Provides two buttons, which allow a manager to decide how long each item will remain sold out on an item-by-item basis. Pressing the POS Selling Limit screen's Sold Out button causes the selected item to remain sold out until its sold-out status is removed (with the Available button). A second button Sold Out Today Only appears on the POS Selling Limit screen: pressing this button causes the selected item to remain sold out only until the end of the current business day. Next Day: Pressing the POS Selling Limit screen's Sold Out button causes the selected item to remain sold out only until the end of the current business day. Until Marked as Available: Pressing the POS Selling Limit screen's Sold Out button causes the selected item to remain sold out until its sold-out status is removed (with the Available button).
EnforceVirtualSellingLimit	POS-SALESSERVER	Yes No	Enforces a selling limit for stocktakeable concession items in remote sales channels. Important! To enable this functionality, you must set the system setting AllowStockToGoNegative=No and enable the RecalcUncollectedStockItems scheduled job. The selling limit will be set to either: the existing selling limit, if one is set the stock count, if no existing selling limit is set If there are uncollected bookings, the selling limit is reduced to ensure enough stock is available for the bookings. This won't consider in-progress orders at the time of upload.
