Create genre labels by going to Head Office Manager or Cinema Manager > Maintenance > Film Genres. Give each genre a name, a short name, and a description. You can then assign genres to Film records in the Film maintenance form.

Genres form

Option	Allowed Values	Description
Name	1–30 characters	The name of the Distributor. This is displayed on Reports. For example: Paramount Pictures. This can also be configured in the Alternate Language.
Short name	1–10 characters	A short name given to the Genre. This will be shown in a Film's details on sales channels if the full name is too long. This can also be configured in the Alternate Language.
Description	1-255 characters	An extended description of the Genre. This can also be configured in the Alternate Language.
