Set up voucher types you can use when configuring vouchers. Voucher types are available in Voucher Manager > Maintenance.

Determines the behaviour of the Voucher Type and how it is redeemed: Ticket - the voucher is redeemed against/ exchanged for a ticket. Payment Voucher - the voucher is redeemed with a monetary value. Miscellaneous Voucher - Gift Card - the voucher functions as a stored value card. If this option is selected, configure the settings on the Gift Card tab. Multiuse Voucher - the voucher can be redeemed a specified number of times as a ticket/payment/misc. voucher. If this option is selected, configure the settings on the Multiuse Voucher tab. Booklet of Varying Types - the voucher represents a booklet containing a specified number of ticket/payment/misc. vouchers. If this option is selected, configure the settings on the Booklet of Varying Types tab. |

If the checkbox is cleared, the barcode format will default to the values specified in the VoucherBarcodeNoLength system setting. Note: When processing a gift card request, OVV ignores the serial number that’s sent from Cinema, and instead extracts the serial from the barcode by looking at the positions set in the Start and End options. If these are empty, it will use the values of VoucherBarcodeNoLength. For vouchers, OVV uses the value present in the request. |

Gift Card
Note: The settings on this tab will only be available if the Redeemable Type is configured as Gift Card on the main Voucher Type tab.

Multiuse Voucher
Voucher Types can be configured to allow multiple uses of multiple different Redemption Types.
Note: The settings on this tab will only be available if the Redeemable Type is configured as Multiuse Voucher on the main Voucher Type tab.

Booklet of Varying Tickets
Voucher Types can be configured to represent booklets that contain multiple vouchers of different types.
The Voucher Price record configured for the Voucher Type will correspond to the price of the booklet as a whole, and the prices of the individual vouchers contained in the booklet can be set on this tab.
Note: The settings on this tab will only be available if the Redeemable Type is configured as Booklet of Varying Types on the main Voucher Type tab.

Limitations
The sale and redemption of Voucher Types can be restricted based on Location, Cinema Type, barcode and time.
