Logging in to POS with a user name or user number
- Switch on the POS workstation.
- If this is the first time that POS has been run on the workstation, you will need to set up the workstation. Otherwise, the Log in screen appears.
- Tap LOG IN.
- Enter your user name using the on-screen keyboard, or enter your 4-digit user number into the on-screen keypad and tap Enter.
Note: Whether you are presented with a keyboard or keypad depends on a Back Office system setting.
- If required, enter your PIN and tap Enter.
Logging in to POS with an identity card
Your workstation may be configured to use a security reader (for example, a magnetic stripe reader or barcode reader), that allows you log in using an identity card.
In this case, a progress bar will appear while POS waits for you to present your identity card.
A MANUAL button may be available, depending on your system's settings. If you've misplaced your identity card, tap the MANUAL button to log in using your user name or number.
