If you need to leave a POS workstation unattended during a shift, you can lock the workstation to prevent other operators from using it or opening the cash drawer.
A locked workstation can only be unlocked by the a manager, a supervisor, or the operator who originally locked it.
Locking POS
POS can be locked in the middle of an order or booking. The order window remains in the in the state it was left in until POS is unlocked.
- Tap More.
- Tap Lock.
A message appears on the POS screen, indicating that the workstation is locked.
While POS is locked, the POS screen remains frozen in its current state behind the locked message.
Unlocking POS as the operator who locked it

Unlocking POS as a supervisor and cashing up
- On the locked POS screen, tap Manual.
- Enter your user number.
- Enter your PIN.
- Tap Enter.
- When prompted by the POS Session Message, tap No to close the session.
- If required, tap Clock Off and press Exit to clock off the previous operator.
Unlocking POS as a supervisor and logging in
- On the locked POS screen, tap Manual.
- Enter your user number.
- Enter your PIN.
- Tap Enter.
- When prompted by the POS session message, tap Yes to continue the session.
- When prompted by the POS user message, tap Yes to log in as a supervisor.
Unlocking POS as a supervisor and logging in another person
A supervisor can unlock POS and then choose to log in a secondary user.
The secondary user continues using the same POS session and floats as the user that originally locked the session.
- On the locked POS screen, tap Manual.
- Enter your user number.
- Enter your PIN and tap Enter.
- When prompted by the POS session message, tap Yes to continue the session.
- When prompted by the POS user message, tap Yes to log in as another user.
- Tap Manual.
- Have the secondary user enter their user number and tap Enter.
- Have the secondary user enter their PIN and tap Enter.
