Combining a split item on a check at POS

Items that have been split by mistake can be combined back into a whole item.

Alternatively, several evenly-split items can be combined to represent unequal fractions of a line item. For example, if an item has been split three ways, two of the three resulting fractional items can be combined. This results in lines that represent 1/3 and 2/3 of an item.

Note: The split item must be on the same check to recombine.

1. Open the Split Checks screen from Tab Details > Split Check.
2. Tap to select the split items that you want to combine.
3. For example:
   • 1/3 Grand Fries $1.37
   • 1/3 Grand Fries $1.36
4. Tap Combine Items.
   The items are combined into a single line:
   • 2/3 Grand Fries $2.73

Note: Lines that represent tickets, payments, or refunded items cannot be split.
