Learn more about how ticket voucher refunds work with the following two examples.
Example: Refunding a ticket voucher redemption at POS
Patron, James Watson, redeems a ticket voucher at a POS Workstation for an Adult ticket voucher to Batman.
Prior to the session starting, James goes to a different POS Workstation and asks for his ticket to be refunded. The POS Operator, Louise Henry, takes the ticket and processes the refund. POS prints a ticket voucher redemption which is given to James to fulfil the refund.
Note: In this example, the ticket voucher Redemption Refund Action is configured to Issue Replacement Voucher.
Louise selects the following options at POS to refund the ticket voucher:
- Louise selects More > Refund. The Refund window appears.
- Louise selects Enter Transaction Number, then enters the transaction number that matches the ticket James handed her.
- Louise selects the ticket voucher redemption that is to be refunded and clicks Complete.
- From the Payment Screen Louise clicks the Complete button. A new ticket voucher is printed. The ticket voucher has the date of the original ticket voucher, and a new voucher number. Louise hands James his new ticket voucher.

- The Payment Screen displays the change Tim is owed. Samuel clicks the Complete button.
