Accurate and appropriate preparation times are crucial in a kitchen environment. Configuring your organisation's modifiers so that their preparation time is included in an item's overall preparation time ensures guests' meals are served together.
Before you begin
In Cinema Manager, configure your item modifiers to have varying preparation times.
Steps
- Your POS operator adds your guests' items (a well-done steak with vegetables and a rare steak with vegetables) to their order.
- The POS operator enters the order target delivery time as 5:00pm and completes the transaction.
The guests' items are displayed on the kitchen screen according to the combined preparation time of the modifier and item.
For example:
Steak = 10 minutes preparation time
Rare = 2 minutes preparation time
Well-done = 6 minutes preparation time
The well-done steak is displayed on the kitchen screen at 4:44pm.
The rare steak is displayed on the kitchen screen at 4:48pm. - Your food and beverage staff collect the well-done and rare steak from the kitchen and deliver it to your guests at 5:00pm.
