The name of the Printer. This will be displayed in the dropboxes when configuring Printers in Item Prepare and Pickup Area maintenance.

Print to Workstation

Any configured Workstation

If a Workstation is configured, printing to this printer will use the printer attached to the configured workstation.

For example: The Kitchen may have a workstation with a printer attached. When an Item is sold at POS that needs to be prepared in in the kitchen, POS will use the kitchen workstation's printer to print a Prepare Slip.

Note: If this field is configured, the Print Template and Name / Path fields will not be available.

Print Template

Any Print Template folder

If no Workstation is configured, a network printer may be used. This field defines the Print Template folder to be used, based on what type of printer the network printer is.

Note: This field is only available if no Workstation is configured.

Name / Path

A network address

If no Workstation is configured, a network printer may be used. This field defines the network address of the printer.

For example: The Kitchen may have a printer with no workstation. When an Item is sold at POS that needs to be prepared in in the kitchen, POS will use this network printer to print a Prepare Slip.

Note: This field is only available if no Workstation is configured.

Master Kitchen Printer for Prepare Slips

If the check box is selected, this printer will print master prepare slips for all orders in the site.

For example: An order for a burger and fries with one prepare slip printed in the grill area and another printed in the fryer area will have a master prepare slip printed by this printer that includes both items in the order.

Note: Only one configured printer may have this option selected.

Master Kitchen Printer for Pickup Slips

If the checkbox is selected, this printer will print master pickup slips for all orders in the site.

For example: An order containing food and drink with a food pickup slip printed in the south pickup area, and a drinks pickup slip printed in the north pickup area, will have a master pickup slip printed by this printer. This will include all items in the order.

Note: Only one configured printer may have this option selected.

Backup Printer

Any configured printer

Select an alternate printer that will be used as a backup if this printer goes offline or becomes otherwise unreachable.

Redirect Printer

Any configured printer

Select an alternate printer to redirect slips to when setting up a printer redirection.

Redirect for Today Only

If this check box is selected, slips will be routed to the specified Redirect Printer for today only.

Print separate prepare/pickup slips for each item

If the check box is selected, separate prepare and pickup slips will be printed for each item.

This allows you to track items separately rather than having them grouped together on a single slip.
