Stored Value Cards (SVC) may be enabled as a valid payment method depending on settings. The payment buttons on the Payment screen may include some or all of the following:

• Using the Stored Value Card to pay at Point of Sale (SVC)
• Issuing a new Stored Value Card (SVC Issue)
• Recharging a Stored Value Card, ie. adding money onto the card (SVC Recharge)
• Getting cash back from the Store Value Card (SVC Cashback)
• Obtaining a balance of the Stored Value Card

To view the balance of the card, swipe the card and press the chevron that displays against the SVC payment button. A message box will be displayed showing the current balance of the card.

Paying with a stored value card

After completing the order, press the payments button and swipe the SVC. The payment will be automatically deducted from the amount held on the card. See Making a payment at POS for more details.

Issuing a new stored value card

1. Press the Payment button.
2. Press the SVC Issue button.
3. Enter the amount to issue the card with into the Keypad and press Enter.
4. Swipe the card or enter details in the Keyboard.
5. Verify the transaction was accepted and approved.
   The amount will be added to the total as a purchase.
6. Press a payment type to pay for the card and complete the payment as normal.

   Note: Payment for a SVC cannot be made with another SVC.

7. Press the Complete button.
   Once complete, the customer can use their SVC for purchases.

Recharging a stored value card

1. Press the Payment button.
2. Press the SVC Recharge button.
3. Enter the amount to put on the card into the Keypad and press Enter.
4. Verify the transaction is approved.
   The amount will be added to the total for the purchase.
5. Select a payment type to pay for the recharge and complete the order as normal.

   Note: The recharge amount for a SVC cannot be paid for by another SVC.

6. Press the Complete button.
   Once the order is complete, the customer will have a recharged card ready to use for payment.

Retrieving cashback from a stored value card

1. Press the Payment button.
2. Swipe the stored value card.
3. Press the SVC Cashback button.
   The remaining amount on the SVC will be retrieved from the card.
