By linking a payment type to both a ticket and payment voucher, you can create a ticket type that can be purchased using multiple payment vouchers. These tickets can only be purchased at POS and by using ticket-only payment vouchers (payment vouchers linked to a payment type used for tickets).

Note: You can do all of these procedures in Cinema Manager.

Linking multiple ticket types to a payment type

1. Go to Maintenance > Payment Types.
2. Open or create a payment type.
3. Set Tender Category to Voucher.
4. Go to the Items, Tickets and Payment Vouchers tab.
5. Change Allow this payment type to be used to purchase the following to Specific tickets only.

   Note: Payment types can't be linked to items and tickets at the same time. Changing Payment Type can be used to purchase these will remove any items or tickets that are already linked to the payment type.

6. Add tickets to the payment type.

   Note: Complimentary, Redemption/Voucher and Package tickets won't be available to link to the payment type. Complimentary tickets never require a payment type because they are always free, redemption/voucher tickets will only ever be purchased by redeeming a single voucher, and packages can contain a mix of items and tickets. Items and tickets can never be linked to a payment type at the same time.

7. Save and close the payment type.
8. Go to Maintenance > Payment Buttons.
9. Open the payment button used for the payment type.
10. Select Withhold Change.
11. Select a Payment type for withheld change.
12. Save and close the payment button.

Payment vouchers linked to the payment type are now Ticket Only Payment Vouchers. Ticket types linked to the payment type can now only be purchased at POS by using at least one of these Ticket Only Payment Vouchers.

Linking individual ticket types to a payment type

1. Go to Maintenance > Ticket Types.
2. Open an existing ticket type, or create a new one.
3. Select an available payment type.

   Note: Payment types that are inactive, have a tender category other than Voucher, or are already linked to items will not be available for linking.

   Complimentary, Redemption/Voucher and Package tickets can't be linked to a payment type. Complimentary tickets never require a payment type because they are always free, Redemption/voucher tickets will only ever be purchased by redeeming a single voucher, and packages can contain a mix of items and tickets. Items and tickets can never be linked to a payment type at the same time.

4. Select an enforcement option using Enforced.

   Note: Selecting Voucher Required will make the ticket purchasable using at least one Ticket Only Payment Voucher linked to the payment type. Multiple vouchers can also be used, along with a mix of vouchers and other payment methods.

5. Save.

The ticket type is now purchasable exclusively at POS by using the relevant ticket-only payment vouchers.

Linking a payment voucher to the same payment type as a ticket

These steps are required to complete the process of creating a ticket that can be purchased using multiple vouchers.

1. Go to Maintenance > Payment Vouchers.
2. Open or create a payment voucher.
3. Select a Payment Type that has been linked to tickets.
4. Save.

The payment voucher is now a ticket-only payment voucher.
