This report provides detailed sales for a particular item for a period.
This report consists of three summary reports. The first, Concession Sales Summary Report compares admits and concession revenue data. Concession Sales- Discount on Sales provides information on discounts issued on concession items. The Concession Item Sales provides information on an individual type of concessions that were sold, divided by their item group, e.g. Food or Candy.

Note: This report doesn't show you any items that are marked as Box Office Sundry Items; these are shown on the Daily Box Office report in the Box Office Receipts Summary.

Split Sales Value for Tax |
Select a sales tax to add a new column Sales Value (sales tax description) to the report. This also causes the original Sales Value column's title to appear as Sales Value (Other). The new column shows the sales value of items sold under the chosen sales tax. This option is designed to be used in jurisdictions where the same item may be sold under different tax rates. For example, in Mexico, where staple foods attract different tax rates depending on whether a service element is included in the sale, this option allows a manager to see the sales value of staple food items sold under both the service and non-service tax rates. The Location field provides information on where individual types of concession items were sold. These are then divided by their food item, for instance, Candy or Food. |
UOM |
The Unit of Measurement. This refers to the status of sold concession items. Most commonly items will be sold as single entities, i.e. EACH. |
Quantity |
This is a record of the number of concessions sold for each item. |
Discount |
If an individual concession item has been discounted, the details will be recorded here. |
Net |
The total net revenue received from this concession item in the selected date range. |
Tax |
The total amount taxed from this concession item in the selected date range. |
Sales Value (selected sales tax) |
The sales of value of items sold under the selected sales tax. Note: This column is only present when a sales tax is selected for the report prompt Split Sales Value for Tax. |
Sales Value |
The total Sales Value from this concession item in the selected date range. This is calculated by combining the Tax and Net figures. If a sales tax is selected for the report prompt Split Sales Value for Tax, this column is instead titled Sales Value (Other) and shows the sales value of items sold under all sales taxes except that selected in the report prompt. |
Cost (Excl. Tax) |
This is the actual cost that the cinema paid in order to purchase these concession items. For instance, a single Mango Tea Smoothie costs the Cinema $1.41 and only one was sold. |
Margin (On Net) |
This refers to the Margin that is made by sales for each concession item. For instance, 17 Oreo Cream Blasts were sold at a cost to the cinema of $23.64. However, because these are then sold at a higher price, the Cinema makes a profit of $64.77. To get the Net margin, the Cost and Tax figures are subtracted from the Sales Value, i.e. $64.77 - $23.64 - $3.74 = $37.39. Therefore, $37.39 is the sales margin for this concession item. |
Percentage of Total Sales |
This is the percentage of total sales that this concession item was responsible for. |

Average Trans |
The average transaction amount. |
Net Sales (selected sales tax) |
The total recorded value of Net Sales for items sold under the selected sales tax. Note: This figure is only present when a sales tax is selected for the report prompt Split Sales Value for Tax. |
Net Sales |
The total recorded value of Net Sales. This is recorded in monetary terms. If a sales tax is selected for the report prompt Split Sales Value for Tax, this figure is instead titled Other Net Sales and shows the sales value of items sold under all sales taxes except that selected in the report prompt. |
Sales Tax |
The total recorded value of Sales Tax. This is recorded in monetary terms. |
Gross Sales |
The Gross Sales figure is calculated by adding the Net Sales and the Sales Tax Figures together. In the report example, Gross Sales is 10,390.24 (9800.54 + 589.70). |
Concession Revenue |
The total recorded value of Concession Revenue. This is recorded in monetary terms. |
Gross Sales |
This figure remains the same as it did in the sales column, but it must be compared to the Concession Revenue figure here. |
Difference |
The Difference figure is calculated by subtracting the Gross Sales Figure from the Concessions Revenue figure. In the report example, Difference is 72.27 (10,462.51 - 10,390.24). |

Discount Report Code |
The Discount Report Code refers to the discount type that has been applied to a concessions sale. For instance, 'SENIOR' would indicate that a discount has been awarded for a senior citizen. |

The amount that has been discounted. This should match the amount that is designated for each Discount Report Code. |
