The Box Office Analysis report in Cinema Manager provides an overview of the amount of admissions to and the revenue generated by all films being screened during the selected date period.
This report provides a comprehensive view of film’s ticket sales, redemptions as well as comps. Admits are divided into the Amount Purchased and Gross and Net revenue. These are summed for each film in the last column of the report, indicating the total admits, tax, net and gross revenue generated by the film. A total of all the cinema’s films admissions, redemptions, comps and box office revenue appear at the bottom of the report. A separate sheet documents the total figures for the date period for convenience.
Note: This report does not include sessions which generated no sales within the chosen report period.
Terms Used
Term | Description |
Paid Admissions |
Refers to tickets that have been purchased for a specific film in the date range selected. Redemptions and comps are not included in this figure. |
Redemptions |
The number of ticket type vouchers that have been redeemed for the specified date period for a specific film. |
Comps |
This refers to the total number of admits that were complimentary to each film. |
Total Box Office |
The combined total of all revenue generated as well as total admits (comps, ticket sales and redemptions) from each film. |
Admits |
Refers to the number of patrons who’s admission was as a result of a ticket purchase (paid admission), a voucher redemption or complimentary. Total Box Office Admits refers to the sum of these three figures for a film. |
Gross |
This is the gross revenue from paid admissions, redemptions or comps. The Total Box Office Gross is the sum of these. |
Tax |
The combined value of the four tax levels charged to the sum of ticket purchases, redemptions and complementaries per film. Total tax is the sum of the tax for all films selected in the date period. |
Grand Total for (your cinema) |
This is a separate graph detailing the total number of admits and gross and net revenue generated by the cinema for the date period selected. Total Box Office figures are included. |
