The Box Office Summary provides an overview of how many ticket sales, comps and ticket type vouchers were redeemed for each film in the selected date range. The report shows all films with revenue in the selected date range.
This report is one of three daily box office reports: box office summary, box office receipts summary, and price card summary.
The report includes:
- The revenue generated by the amount of paid admissions (ticket sales and voucher redemption).
- The total admits to the film (including comps, ticket sales and voucher redemptions).
- The gross and net revenue generated.
- The tax amounts collected.
- The Cash Book Total on the final row sums all the data from the films to provide an overview of how the cinema has performed in the selected date range.
Note: This report does not include sessions that generated no sales within the selected date period.
Terms Used
Term | Description |
Paid Admissions: Seat |
This is the amount of tickets or vouchers that were either redeemed or purchased in the date range selected for each film. |
Paid Admissions: Value |
This is the gross revenue that tickets purchased or vouchers redeemed generated for each film in the selected date range. |
Comps |
This refers to the total number of admits that were complimentary to each film. |
Paid +Comp: Seats |
This is the total amount of all tickets, vouchers and comps that were either redeemed or purchased in the date range selected for each film. |
Paid + Comps: Value |
This is the combined gross revenue that tickets purchased and comps and vouchers redeemed generated for each film in the selected date range. |
Tax |
The combined value of the four tax levels charged to all ticket sales and ticket type voucher redemptions for each film. |
Net |
The net revenue received from ticket sales and redemptions for each film. It is the gross film total minus any tax that has been incurred on the transactions. |
Cash Book Total |
The sum of all the film’s Paid Admits (ticket type vouchers and ticket sales). Gross and Net revenue generated, Tax, Comps and paid admits including comps. |
