Voucher Manager's stock creation wizard takes you through a series of simple steps to generate stock in your system.
- Click Create stock beside the voucher type that requires stock.
- In the Stock creation wizard window, fill in the required fields and click Next.
- If you want to generate a file detailing the contents of your stock order, select Generate barcodes file.
The file contains a complete list of the stock that will be generated once processing is complete.
- Review your order and click Finish.
A message will inform you that your stock is being generated, and when the process is complete. You can continue to use the application while generation is in progress. If there is an error, Voucher Manager will inform you that the process failed.
Note: Once you have created stock, the following settings cannot be altered on its voucher type:
- Voucher type
- Voucher code
- Expiry settings
Stock Creation Wizard
Field | Description |
Delivery date |
Enter an expected delivery date for the stock. Note: This can help you to identify whether stock delivery has been delayed. |
Delivery location |
Enter a location for the stock to be delivered to. You can record in Vouchers and Gift Cards any later stock transfers, such as from your head office to individual sites for sale. Note: If you transfer stock from its delivery location and don't record the transfer, POS will alert the operater when selling the voucher that it is registered at a different location. This prompt requires a manager's approval for the transaction to continue. The database table tblStock will record both location IDs (stock location and issue location). |
Supplier |
Select a supplier to order the stock from. |
Order reference |
Enter a reference for this stock order. This is useful for keeping track of printed stock with the supplier. |
Quantity |
Enter the number of vouchers or gift cards you want to create. |
Stock expiry |
(Optional) Enter an expiry date for the stock. Note: This will be applied to the stock if no expiry settings are configured on the voucher type. |
