A critical system setting for the deposit process is CashdeskDepositFrom, which allows you to choose whether deposits can be created from POS sessions, funds, or both. If you configure CashDesk to allow deposits from funds, you can then choose which funds you want to allow deposit from, using the Allow Deposit From option on the Fund.
To decrease the capacity for human error in the banking process, you may want to configure a single Fund Location as the Default Deposit Location, and any Fund Locations for bank funds should be configured to Accept Deposits Only.
In addition to CashdeskDespositFrom, there are a number of system settings that allow to configure specific aspects of the deposit process to suit your business needs.
