In Vista Call Centre, you can refund booking transactions in the form of Loyalty points equal to the dollar value of the transaction. Follow these steps to ensure points from the original transaction are not refunded if their expiry date has passed.
Steps
- Configure the following Connect system setting to include the value LOYALTY POINTS.

Determines the payment type that Call Centre supports for refunds.
Note: You cannot select more than one payment type.
This ensures that the call centre operator can choose Loyalty points as the payment type for a refund.
- Configure the following Loyalty system setting.

Determines whether Loyalty checks the expiry date of points being refunded. If set to Yes, and a points payment transaction is refunded, Loyalty will not refund points that have passed their original expiry date.
The default setting is No.
Loyalty will display the number of points refunded in the PRINT_DATA field returned to Call Centre, so the operator can inform their customer.
