Data integrity

  • Data now loads correctly on the Sign Health pages of Signage Manager.

Functionality

  • We've fixed an issue where sessions for some screens weren't showing on Digital Signage when using Session Times templates.
  • We've fixed an issue which could cause the SignStatusUploadTask to fail to run in Task Scheduler.
  • We've fixed an issue where real-time session data wouldn't update on Digital Signage for any session with a showtime after midnight.
  • In Digital Signage, we've fixed an issue where new items couldn't be added to a Menu Board in Signage Manager.

Performance

  • We've fixed an issue where Digital Signage was repeatedly shutting down and restarting, meaning menu boards or showtimes weren't displaying.

Performance

  • The Windows Player in Digital Signage now uses WebView2 (instead of CefSharp). Note: Clients running Windows 11 already have WebView2 Runtime available, and clients running Window 10 will automatically have WebView2 Runtime downloaded when Digital Signage is installed.

    You'll also notice the following changes:

    • The location of the browser cache has moved from c:\Vista\DigitalSignage\Cache to c:\Vista\DigitalSignage\WindowsPlayer\Vista.Signage.Player.WindowsPlayer.exe.WebView2 .
    • An updated look and feel to the context menu, including improved label names.

  • We've updated the Digital Signage Admin installer to include a page that will create a Service Framework workstation binding (authorisation) if one doesn't already exist. During installation, you'll need to provide the Server Name and Master Password for the Service Framework server you are installing against. These changes also include a new page that will ask you to confirm the API Router URL of the server in place of the page that used to ask for the Service Framework URL.

Functionality

  • Media shown on Digital Signage now reflects user changes even when a users updates an advertising profile currently being used in a menu board template or takeover.
  • The CdnUrl now persists in the DIGITALSIGNAGEADMINWEB.ini file when you run the Admin installer. This means that data entered during installation is saved as expected and media in the AdminWebsite uses the specified CdnUrl and not the default CdnUrl.
  • When the Fallback Advertising Profile setting is set on an Order Names and Number template, Digital Signage now loads the template as expected.
  • The Digital Signage Admin installer no longer fails with an "Invalid column name 'AdvertMediaSetId'" database script error when upgrading from a pre-5.0.10 release.
  • The Digital Signage Admin installer no longer fails with an "Invalid column name 'AdvertMediaSetId'" database script error when upgrading from a pre-5.0.10 release.
