The Box Office Analysis report in Head Office displays current week and previous week Box Office information for performance comparison and analysis.

The report can be displayed in four different modes, each displaying different levels of data.

Report prompts

Prompt	Description
Business Date	A business date must be entered, Box Office information for the business week that the date belongs to will display. The date range that the business date fits into will be displayed at the top of the report.
Circuit	A specific circuit can be selected to display Box Office information for. All circuits can be selected.
Location Type	A single location type can be selected to display Box Office information for. All location types can be displayed, allowing location types to be compared with each other.
Split Cinema	Splits totals for Cinemas with different cinema operators, eg. Gold Class. If Yes is selected then each Cinema operator will have a separate total, if No is selected then only one total will display for each Cinema.
Report Type	Four modes of display are available for this report, each with a different type of focus and some with more detail than others. Types are described below: Film Summary: This displays a summary by film with no cinema breakdown. Film Summary with Circuit and Location Type Summary: Displays a summary by film with each instance of Circuit and Location Type split out to a separate page. Cinema Summary: Displays a summary by cinema with no film breakdown. Cinema/Film Detail: Provides a page per cinema with detail for each film.
Show KPIs	Selecting Yes from the dropdown list will enable the printing of a KPI summary at the bottom of each report page. Selecting No will disable the KPI summary.

Terms Used

Term	Description
Cinema Complex	The cinema complex that Box Office information is displayed for.
Film	The films showing in the cinema complex for the business week selected.
Week No	The week since the release that the film is playing in (run week). Example: Week 1 means that this is the first week that the film has been showing.
Dist	The distributor that the film comes from.
Net Box Office Individual Days	The net Box Office for the day in the current business week.
Current Week	The total Box Office amount for the current week - a total of the individual days.
Previous Week	This is the Box Office total for the previous week up to the same relative day of the week. Example: If the report day is Tuesday, the previous week reports totals up to the Tuesday of the previous week.
Weekly Diff %	The percentage difference in Box Office total between the previous week and the current week.
Weekly Diff	The difference in Box Office total between the previous week and the current week.
To Date	The Box Office amount for the life of the film.
Prev. Full Week	The full Box Office totals for the previous week, all days.
Total for Cinema Complex	Totals are displayed in this row for the named cinema complex. A total for each day will be displayed as well as totals of the weekly amounts.
Paid Admits	One of three performance indicators in the KPIs section. The number of admits sold on the day or week.
Average Ticket Price	One of three performance indicators in the KPIs section. The average price of tickets sold on this day or week.
Seat Occupancy %	One of three performance indicators in the KPIs section. The percentage of seats occupied in the cinema complex for this day or week.
Total for Location Types	A sub total of Box Office amounts is given for each location type.
Grand Total	The overall Box Office totals for all cinema complexes and location types. These totals are displayed on the last page of this report.
