System accounts

General ledger accounts can be configured and attached to various actions and records such as Items or Ticket Types. Vista supplies a default set of general ledger accounts, also called system accounts, that apply when no other account is specified. Vista also supplies system accounts that are used for specific activities such as Film Hire or Group Sales. Each system account is associated with only one general ledger account at each site.

You can update the Head Office account code  of any system account to match the required values in your financials.

Following are the system accounts supplied by Vista. Some of these can be overridden on various maintenance forms, such as Item Class and Payment Type, or by configuring custom general ledger accounts for specific circumstances, such as Cost of Goods Sold or POS Overs/Unders.
