Allowing your patrons to refund their own order can help to reduce the time and effort spent by your cinema and call centre staff, as well as the patrons themselves.
Important: If you use a Braintree payment connector, you can't exclude booking fees from refunds. Doing so will cause refunds to fail.
Limitations
Patrons can't process a refund from their ticket in the following scenarios.
- Refunding part of an order
- Bookings containing more than one order
- Orders made via POS or Kiosk
- Orders containing a deal, voucher, or a gift card
- Orders paid for with more than one transaction
- Payments made using a gift card, Loyalty points, or a voucher
Before you begin

Are there other embedded style payment connectors that might have other limitations or need to be enhanced to support this functionality?
Hi Swade, other payment connectors should work fine. For customers using Adyen, there can be a short delay between the refund being received and either processing successfully, or failing, but it shouldn't affect the patron at all.
